Foxes
are fascinating! If you've ever encountered a fox in the wild, you know what
I mean ... . I named my company FoxSong Books because I am enamoured by the
Fox: how they think and what they do to thrive in the ever encroaching world
of humans. I have a lot to learn from the fox on adaptability and resilience!
This small webpage is a tribute to the Fox by way of a collage of pictures and stories and links. Welcome to the Fox side of Fox & Crow Ventures!
Foxes are the clever villians in many stories from ages past to present day.

Have you every read Aesop's Fables? Fox tricks vain Crow many a time! In this story, Fox flatters Crow until he gets him to sing-thereby opening his mouth and dropping the bit of cheese right into Fox's ready mouth!
And how about that Gingerbread Man... It was the clever fox that ended up with gingerbread on the menu that day ...

Well, 'clever' and 'villian' do not mean the same thing at all! Can you think of a story where the fox is a hero? Hmmm. Those stories are few and far between! Maybe that's why the fox in my novel The Peacock's Stone is a true hero by helping Shahamah in her quest to feed her grandfather. If you can think of some other stories where the Fox is the hero, let me know and I will post them.
